A MUST SEE, TRANSGENDER CAMPAIGN OF & OTHER STORIES

It’s not a surprise I just love the H&M sisiter label & Other Stories and literally every time I enter their store I bring something with me. With stores all over Europe it kinda feels I’ve scored the best goodies from all over the place. From a chunky jumper in Paris, a passport holder from Barcelona, my dream heels from Antwerp and in Copenhagen I just couldn’t resist their beauty line. All the items I got at their stores can be counted to my personal favorite. So yes, I’ve been a true fan.

And & Other Stories is stepping their game up their latest campaign which is a true must see. In their campaign they used transgender models. It’s true, using transgender models for your brand isn’t something new, but how & Other Stories has done it is something to have a look at. And hopefully it will contribute to the awareness in our society and hopefully more boundaries can be broken.

Models Valentijn De Hingh (a Dutchie) and Hari Nefstylist are the stars in the images and I just love that being transgender isn’t the main focus in the pictures. They are two beautiful people and just fit perfect in this campaign. And did you know, the entire campaign has been created with a transgender team, including stylist Love Bailey, makeup artist Nina Poon, and photographer Amos Mac. The collection in the images will by launched on August 20.

Just in general I’m very pleased to see that typical gender characteristics and what society expects you to be, act and love is fading by the years. Personally I always have been struggling with acting and dressing up like a girly girl and I always felt I had to dress ‘some sort of way’ to be excepted. But hey, times changes and I’ve changed into the good and luckily I can be myself these days. So I really hope this kind of campaigns helps for the awareness of this subject and more people can be their selves.

I’m quite curious to hear you opinion of this campaign and do you really think it well give a boost to the awareness of this subject? Let me know!
