SHOPPING AT MAASMECHELEN VILLAGE

Last week Debbie and I hopped into our ride (with personal driver. how cool is that!) and headed to Maasmechelen Village for a great shopping spree and the opening of the Belgian Pavilion. Why I love to go here at least twice a year? Because I can check out my last seasons favorites (of Nike, Scotch&Soda, Maje/Sandro and Essentiel) for a fraction of the original price. That’s also what happend with the beautiful MAJE coat. I saw it, tried it on and I was sold in a few seconds. Last year I was hunting down this coat, but it was nowhere to be found and actually it was out of my budget back then. Now, heavy on sale, it’s finally mine. Score!

At 4PM it was time for the grand opening of the Belgian Pavilion with champagne and delicious snacks. With this initiative MMV celebrates and supports Belgian fashion talent like Files a Papa, Véronique Leroy, Christian Wijnants and many more. They give these designers a great platform to showcase and sell their new collections. – The Belgian Pavilion is open until the end of 2013.
