Water. One of the things in life we often take for granted while we must be very blessed about having clean running water. Every day I try to drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water, everyday I like to take my warm shower, every Sunday I like to swim and countless times I flushed the toilet (thank to drinking lots of water). So we are in contact with our precious clean water many moments a day, but what would happen if this all would be gone one day? I think a disaster would happen.
The reality is that this happening right now in many part of the world. But what can I do solve this? Personally I always feel so powerless when I know I want to give my support but I just don’t know how. Of course, when it comes to water I like to be more consciously with it on a daily basis. I’m happy that more and more companies are besides being commercial also take a look how they can save the world a bit. In how they make their product to donating a part of their profits. In this way I also came in contact with Marie-Stella-Maris a few years ago when I came across their beautiful designed water bottles while grocery shopping. Not long after that they introduced their beauty and home care line and now they also have a Foundation to help even more people. Because according to the founders of Stella Maris water, sanitation and hygiene are the basis elements in life and this most be available for everyone in the world.
Marie-Stella-Maris is a lifestyle brand from Amsterdam that believes everyone should have access to a source of clean drinking water. So with the creation of bottles of mineral water and natural care beauty and home products they made it their mission to take care for the ones who don’t have acces to drinking water. With every item sold from Marie-Stella-Maris they donate a fixed amount of money towards water projects worldwide. Since 2012 they already have supported 8 projects worldwide and made it possible for 17.000 people to have acces to clean drinking water.
