IT-BAG?

What makes a bag an IT? I’ve been never the type of girl who drools over bag or so called ‘it-bags’. In my head the only bag that lives up to this status is the classic Chanel bag. Yes, of course I love bags but I’ve never been into the phase of life where I’m willing to pay more than $500 (or even $250) for (just) a bag. Maybe I’m just afraid that I won’t love an expensive bag just like the ones I pick up from the thrift shop for only $2. Maybe, someday, when I’ll earn a lot more money that I’m doing right now I’ll have the courage to go to the counter of that designer shop and pay for an ‘it-bag’ with my eyes closed.

While browsing around on the Bijenkorf shop I came across the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Mini Satchel which became a bag I’m willing to pay a bit more than I usual do (maybe it’s because I still got a heavy giftcard which makes it al so much easier). It’s black, timeless and it got the perfect ‘small’ size. Is it worth the money? One downside, in my opinion, 3.1 Phillip Lim just launched a collection for Target which includes a bag that looks very similar for only $34.99. Hmmm. Let me know how you think about buying a designer (it) bag?
