INSIDE ASOS (HQ) SS15 COLLECTION

Oh! Finally I can tell and show you more about my visit to ASOS HQ in London earlier this month. As you may know, Asos.com is one of my favorite online shops and I’ve been a true costumer since the early start – back in the days when it was ‘As Seen On Screen’.

For some it may not something exciting to visit, but for me it really was something really special. Looking back to that shy girl escaping reality by shopping online to a young woman working hard and be at the place where all the shopping magic happens + collaborating with them.

I was happy to hear that during my visit the ASOS Spring Summer 2015 collection was presented and I would be one of the very first ones to check it out – even before the CEO of Asos.com could see it. Oh gosh, can somebody pinch me! Today I’m sharing the highlights of the upcoming trends for Spring and Summer according to ASOS and I’m only thinking: Please, can we skip winter?

4 KEY TRENDS FOR SPRING SUMMER 2015 ACCORDING TO ASOS.COM

Grace
Launching Occasion for SS15, Grace looks backs to 50s couture and recreates classic prom dressing with bonded fabrics, all over sequins and engineered jacquard placements. Organzas, lace, jacquards and embellished mesh create dresses to be worn to any occasion.

Bang Bang
Bang Bang is ASOS’ version of 70’s western styling, mixed with city slicker key pieces. This trend sees vintage styling in the form of maxi lace dresses, gypsy tops and a hint of 70’s wide leg denim. Fringing is key, appearing on minimal tees, shift dresses and wrap skirts and a lot of suede. I say: suede will be booming next season.

Uniformed
Casual fabrics combined with a variety of stripes and abstract prints while utility and military details update dresses. Tailoring is given a deconstructed feel and outerwear comes in the form of MA1 bomber styling, the unstructured mac and the parka.

Solar Pop
This sci-fi and galactic story gives a fun element to clothing this season. Playing with words, fabrics and silhouettes, Solar Pop is playful by adding monsters, rockets and illustration to prints, embellishments as decoration. Also the 70’s are back here and making fashion more fun with all the colourful details.

Besides checking out their collection I also got a quick tour through their amazing office that’s located in Camden, London.
While talking with the staff I couldn’t hold back some cool facts about ASOS.COM. Did you know that…

ASOS HQ has their own gym in their office. How cool!
Cara Delevingne first modeling job was at Asos.com – see here!
Working at ASOS almost means working in a living walking closet. Heaven!
Besides Fashion heaven the ASOS HQ also is food heaven thanks to their yummy
food corner where I got the best homemade salad ever.
ASOS HQ is located in beautiful art deco building (with two cats in front of it),
which used to be an old tobacco factory!

And don’t forget… ASOS.COM • 20% OFF • code: CYBERWKND20 (valid on 27/11 – 2/12)
