#TGIF, HOW TO MAKE YOUR WEEKEND SEEM LONGER

Yes! It’s Friday and that means weekend is knocking on your doorstep! Free days, relaxing mornings and some drinks here and there. This weekend is my ultimate weekend because I’ll staying 2 days at a spa with my love and I’ll do absolutely nothing – maybe some swimming and working-out here and there. Because I’m hearing all the time that weekends are way to short, it’s about time share with you some useful tips to make your weekend seem longer. Personally I like to have a mix of being active and chill to get myself ready for a busy week ahead. So, take some notes and you’ll surprise that your weekend will seem a bit longer.

Work out = more energy
My favorite thing to do on a Saturday or Sunday morning is working out. Yes, you wouldn’t hear me saying this a year ago, but times have changed and I’m totally into getting fit during the weekend. Working out gives you so much energy for the rest of the 36 hours. And it also its bit of compensation of those glasses wine or that yummy hamburger you couldn’t resist, right?

Wake up early
Because I’m waking up at 6.30AM on weekdays, I just can’t sleep in during the weekend and just make the best of this habit. For example, last weekend I got up early and cleaned my entire home before 10AM – can you believe that! Starting your day fresh in a clean house gives you such a good feeling. And, checking off this chore gives you more time for more fun stuff.

Do chores first
Like I told you in the previous point it’s good to do the not so fun chores at first so you can enjoy the rest of the weekend without thinking about the things you still need to do. Cleaning your home, paying bills or cleaning out your wardrobe gives you some of peace of mind and you will definitely enjoy the profits of it for the rest of the weekend!

Plan in some me-time
For me this is the most important thing of my weekend. Sometimes we can get become too social and in the end you won’t have any me-time left. I always like to split up my weekend in one day being up and running and spend time with friends and family and other social activities. On the other day, or a part of it, I like to plan in some me-time. This can be working out, watch series, putting up a mud mask or tanning. Just surrounding myself with me, myself and I.

Be offline
Yes, being offline seems to be the new luxury these days. For example. this weekend I’ll put away my phone and laptop away and I won’t watch any tv (what I’m already not doing so much anymore) and just enjoy my spa days with my love. But also during ‘normal’ weekends I can easily ‘forget’ my phone and won’t look at this for more than 24 hours! You should try it too!
