5 TRENDS TO TRY THIS SEASON

trends spring 2016

Through the years I learned to not hop from one trend to another and stick to my more minimalistic style. Of course, I still love a fun touch and try a trend here and there sometimes. Figurating out if it’s something for me and just be a bit creative. So every season I always like to have a look at some ‘trends’ and check if it would be something to try out myself. For upcoming Spring I selected a few personal favorites – propably there are many more trends – and it’s up to me and you to try them out this season. When it comes to trying out trends I always have one rule: don’t spend to much on trendy items. Get inspired and happy shopping!

1. PINK + PASTEL

Not long ago my wardrobe was only a mix of grey, white, black and denim items.
But with Spring coming closer I got tempted by more softer colors and I can quite say I’m hooked.
It started all with the search of the perfect pink trousers (found them in Paris) and with my pink bomber jacket
I sealed the deal! Let’s go for pink and pastel this season. What about you?

2. RUFFLES

I’ve spotted ruffles already a while ago when I saw nice streetstyle shots of a Miu Miu blouse that reminded
of an Victorian days and at first it wouldn’t fit into my more minimal and tomboy style. But hey, trend are there to try
out and check if it something for me. And to be honest, I truly love it. Mixing it with some jeans and sneakers make
it really something I would wear this Spring? What do you thing of ruffles? Yay or no?

3. EVERYTHING KNITTED

Last year around September I was truly sad I couldn’t wear my favorite ensemble anymore because
of the cold. All Spring and Summer I went for a (knitted) midi skirt, a simple top combined with sneakers or sandals.
It was my to-go look and I’m already looking forward to go for it again – already tried out an entire knit look here.
Now, with a addition of knitted tops and trousers to make this knit party complete! What do you think all knitwear?

4. FLAT MULES

You all know I’m not the high heels kind of girl and 99,99% of the time go for flat shoes. I’ve got them all different styles
and colors but never added mules to my collection. But I really think they will become a ‘thing’ this seasons and I
can’t wait to give them a try this season. What about you?

5. PATCHES

You might have spotted this trend everywhere in the highstreet shops and I’ve become of them too.
I’m talking about cool patches on items or get patches to customize your own clothes with. It’s all up to you!
